Max Palm Lands Massive Double Backflip in FWT 2022

INTERNATIONAL: The Freeride World Tour 2022 has kicked off on Saturday , January 22, with its first-ever stop in Spain with Swedish Max Palm landing the competition's first double backflip to win men's ski competition.

U.S. riders took the top spot in both men's and women's snowboarding in Baqueira Beret.

Swedish rider, Max Palm stole the show with his high-flying acrobatics which catapulted the 19-year-old Swede to the top of the men's ski competition.

Local rookie Abel Moga came in second followed by Craig Murray of New Zealand in third.

In an amazing comeback, Canadian Olivia McNeill has dominated the women's ski competition after suffering an injury in 2021.

She beat out Norway's Hedvig Wessel and Zuzanna Witych who rounded out the top three.

Michael Mawn of the U.S. won the men's snowboarding competition followed by Camille Armand of France and Brit Cody Bramwell in third.

In women's snowboarding veteran Erika Vikander of the United States took the top spot with smooth transitions and quality air.

She was followed by local Nuria Castan Baron in second and Tiphanie Perrotin of France in third.
